About me
About me
In 2024 I found myself at a career crossroads. Fortunately I had a brilliant coach who helped me clear the fog and find direction. I realised it was time for radical change: to shift my focus from children and young people in education towards the women supporting this learning at all levels across the sector. I retrained as a women's coach with One of many® and founded Coaching Matters with Cressida Morgan.
I had spent 30 years working in education and during that time my drivers were always centred on equity in education and weaving wellbeing through every aspect of the school day. I spent the last 10 years of my career in a strategic post delivering training to leaders and practitioners, helping them understand barriers to learning and engagement. Looking back, I see how surface level messages about self-care that I gave to the professionals I worked with were not nearly enough to address the significant personal challenges that many were facing.
Now, as a licensed One of many® coach I am committed to supporting women in education on a much deeper level helping them restore the balance between healthy dedication and harmful self-sacrifice. What I see in the women I coach is a pattern of feeling that enough is never enough which is very often partnered with finding it difficult to say 'no'. The women I work with experience deep transformational change resulting in better balance, more energy and far less guilt.
I love what I do - it is a privilege to work alongside such amazing women and be part of the change they need, and want, to make.
